Why Heart & Mind?

Emotional wellbeing influences how we think, feel, communicate, make decisions, respond to challenges, and connect with others.

Research increasingly highlights the importance of emotional intelligence, resilience, empathy, self-awareness, and social connection as key contributors to overall wellbeing and quality of life.

Taniya Adhikari

Psychologist

Taniya Adhikari is an insightful and compassionate psychologist whose career is rooted in a profound commitment to fostering community mental health and emotional resilience. With extensive expertise in clinical psychology and a specialized focus on art and expressive therapies, she helps people bridge the gap between their inner worlds and outer lived experiences. Taniya believes that healing is a creative process; by incorporating movement, art, and expressive play into her practice, she offers accessible and non-traditional methods for individuals to navigate trauma, stress, and life transitions.

 

Beyond individual care, her work emphasizes the power of social connection, creating inclusive spaces where every community member feels seen and supported. Her approach is both professional and deeply human, ensuring that mental health support is never a clinical burden but a meaningful journey toward self-discovery, collective belonging, and long-term psychological wellbeing.
